Thank you for your interest in joining the ACHE of Massachusetts Board of Directors.

For nearly 60 years, ACHE of Massachusetts has been committed to advancing the professional development of healthcare leaders throughout the New England region by offering a wide range of educational and networking opportunities.

 

The Board of Directors plays a vital role in driving membership growth, fostering collaboration with sponsors and industry partners, promoting diversity, and responding to the evolving needs of our members.  Candidates must be active Fellows of ACHE or demonstrate a strong commitment to completing the Board of Governors Examination in Healthcare. Ideal applicants will have a well-regarded reputation for emotional maturity, integrity, and honesty, along with proven leadership experience through volunteer service within ACHE.

Eligibility Criteria

All applications for consideration by the Nominating Committee must be submitted electronically by October 31. All applicants must meet the established eligibility criteria and may apply for only one position. Interviews with members of the Nominating Committee may be scheduled if deemed necessary.

  • Board of Directors

    • To pursue a position on the Board of Directors, candidates must:

    • Be a current, non-student member of ACHE of Massachusetts in good standing.
    • Have designated ACHE of Massachusetts as their primary (home) chapter for at least one year.
    • Have actively participated in or contributed to chapter activities within the past 12 months.
    • Be a credentialed Fellow of ACHE, or demonstrate a firm commitment to taking the Board of Governors in Healthcare Management Exam within two years of appointment.
  • Chapter Officers

    • To pursue a position as President-Elect, candidates must:

    • Be a current member of the Board of Directors in good standing.
    • Have served as Chair of a committee for at least one full year within the past three years prior to seeking the Chapter Officer position.

Board Member Agreement

Members of the Board of Directors serve an important role within the organization. The future of ACHE of MA is in large part ensured through the active participation of the Board. Service as a Board member holds certain expectations in terms of involvement, participation, support and commitment to ACHE’s mission.

As the premier professional organization representing more than 48,000 healthcare executives from around the world, ACHE and ACHE of MA strive to maintain the highest level of ethical conduct.

If elected to serve on the Board of Directors for ACHE of MA, I agree to:

  •  Abide by all legal and ethical standards as required by the Bylaws and governing documents of ACHE and ACHE of MA, including:
    • Not using the position, or knowledge gained there from, so that a conflict might arise between Chapter interest and that of the Board Member.
    • Disclosing any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Attend and actively participate in 11 Board meetings.
  • Attend educational programs and networking programs (typically hosted monthly).
  • Assist in securing sponsorships for the organization.
  • Volunteer as needed for special assignments and projects.

I confirm that I meet all of the eligibility criteria and that all of the information I have included is true. I understand that information from my nomination submission form may be confirmed and that any false statements may disqualify me and result in removal from the Board, if elected.
