In a world where the traditional face-to-face care environment changed nearly overnight, providers, payers and healthcare technology companies were forced to rapidly evolve and innovate together to ensure that patient care remained uninterrupted.
In this partnership panel series with ACHE of MA and the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association, we’ll explore how flexibilities with payers introduced during COVID-19 allowed providers to continue to see patients [and bill for services] via unconventional methods, leveraging telehealth technology. Is the adoption of telehealth to ensure that patients have access to quality healthcare – no matter where they live, how old they are or what their community risk levels are to acquiring COVID-19 are – as a symptom of the virus a silver lining toward the improvement of healthcare access and reduction in cost in the US? We’ll look to experts from a range of provider settings to tell us how their organizations responded, continue to respond, and strategically plan for how the healthcare delivery setting as we know it rapidly changes.

Meet the Speakers:
Adam J. Delmolino, Director, Virtual Care and Clinical Affairs at the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association
Adam Delmolino leads MHA initiatives regarding telehealth, including convening tMED, the Massachusetts Telemedicine Coalition. Adam’s responsibilities also involve post-acute care and care transitions, case management, rural healthcare, pharmaceutical innovations, climate change, and energy issues. Previously, he served as MHA’s Director of State Government Advocacy where he worked on legislative and regulatory efforts on behalf of hospitals and patients with a particular emphasis on telehealth, healthcare payment reform, pharmacy practices, and nursing issues.
Prior to MHA, Adam worked in the Massachusetts House of Representatives as Research Analyst for the Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies and as staff director for the Assistant Vice-Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee.
Adam received his BA in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross and is a graduate of the Harvard University Extension School, where he received a graduate Certificate in Management. He serves on the Arlington Library Board of Trustees and the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress Government Affairs Committee.
Ali Hyatt, Vice President of Marketing at Amwell
Ali Hyatt is Vice President of Marketing at Amwell (NYSE: AMWL), a leading telehealth platform in the United States and globally. In her role, Ali oversees corporate and B2B marketing, including product marketing, pricing, market insights and lead generation for the health system and health plan markets. Before joining Amwell, Ali founded a marketing software startup, Upward Labs. Prior to that, she served in a variety of marketing and strategy roles for Avery Dennison (medical wearables division), American Express, and brand consultancy Interbrand – launching products for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, AT&T, Hulu, Gap and IBM. Ali holds a degree in communication, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She has spoken at national conferences including the Cleveland Clinic Patient Experience & Empathy Summit and AHIP, is a founding member in Boston of the women’s leadership network Chief, and has been named as a Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange All-Star.
Ryan Seibert, MD, Medical Director, Primary Care Informatics, Lahey Health
Dr. Ryan Seibert is a general internist at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts and serves as Medical Director of Primary Care Informatics. He obtained his medical degree from Boston University, and his residency training was at Stanford University Hospital. He completed a fellowship in Preventive Medicine at Boston Medical Center and has a Masters of Science in Health Services Research from Boston University School of Public Health. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine.
Prior to his current position, Dr. Seibert worked as Medical Director of Population Health Informatics at the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) Performance Network where he sought to leverage the various electronic health record (EHR) systems across BILH to improve population health management, facilitate efficient care, and promote positive patient and care team experience. At the onset of COVID-19, Dr. Seibert helped lead the rapid transition to telemedicine for over 40 primary care practices and 280 providers within the Lahey system that have now conducted over 150,000 telehealth visits since March 2020. He continues to work on innovative solutions for utilizing telemedicine to deliver safe and effective care during a global pandemic, while harnessing its capabilities as an important tool in the future of primary care.
Meet our Moderator:
Nicholas D’Addabbo, Vice President of Strategy for Nizhoni Health
Nicholas D’Addabbo currently serves as Vice President of Strategy for Nizhoni Health and joined the organization in 2018. His role includes developing relationships with accountable care organizations, hospitals, physician organizations, payers and other strategic partners to build and ensure continuous alignment in care models, patient experience and revenue cycle. Since joining Nizhoni Health, Nick has worked alongside a team that has implemented data analytics and technology platforms to help innovate and deliver better clinical care for our underserved patient population.
Prior to joining Nizhoni Health, Nick was responsible for a large part of athenahealth’s national interoperability strategy, representing over 66,000 providers using athenahealth’s EHR solution to DirectTrust and ONC interoperability working groups to drive the ability to share relevant clinical documentation across disparate systems. In addition to this experience, Nick has healthcare experience in the pre-hospital and acute care environments. His experience across the continuum developed his passion for pursuing a career in post-acute, ensuring that as the healthcare paradigm shifts to more care being delivered in the home, the experience for patients and their families remained seamless.
He attained his Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration, majoring in finance and healthcare management from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. He is currently a candidate for a Master of Health Care Delivery Science at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH.
Nick currently serves as the Co-chairman of Professional Development for the Early Careerist Network is the Massachusetts chapter of The American College of Healthcare Executives. Outside of healthcare, he serves as the Co-chairman of International Educational Programming for his collegiate fraternity.
