The ACHE of MA is proud to commemorate Juneteenth, the day slavery officially ended in Texas and the United States, June 19^th 1865, 2 years after President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. The ACHE of MA is extremely grateful for the many contributions of our Black colleagues. We pause to acknowledge the gains in equality that have been made since the first Juneteenth while recognizing and preparing for the extremely challenging work to pursue equality, especially within our healthcare organizations, for employees and patients.
