Healthcare Organizations Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day

As we remember the tireless work and efforts of Dr. King for civil rights, social and racial justice, we recognize Massachusetts’ hospitals and health organizations that are celebrating Dr. King’s legacy this week.

The first organization we want to recognize is Lawrence Memorial Hospital. This year they have made the holiday an officially celebrated and paid day off for staff, while also showcasing Dr. King’s legacy throughout the hospital. They have created an inclusive environment through: MLK flags that will fly for three days, playing “I have a dream” speech on their TV’s, utilizing their intranet communication hub for emails and awareness, social media posts and displaying posters in strategic locations.
